Eltham Warriors

Eltham Warriors gym was established in 1992.
The gym was first named Eltham Thai Boxing and was developed by Head Coach Lee Whittington. The Gym is still going from strength to strength with a team of coaches that have been training since the gym began. Go to the Coaches corner for more information about our trainers.

The Eltham Warriors first Champion was Tyrone Alexander who was one of the most technical and dynamic fighters in the Country. He became the WMTO British and Commonwealth Super Middleweight Champion. Tyrone was showcased on Sky sports on several occasions and to this day remains a great fighter. Tyrone and Lee Whittington flew the flag for the Warriors in the early days and took the Warriors approach to Thai / Kick boxing to the ring and proved its effectiveness with great class.

Andy the 'Spartan' Kipriano was the Warriors second champion and since 1993 he has won 5 prestigious Title Belts. He is currently the IKF English, British, and European Champion. He also holds the WMTO Heavyweight Title. Andy is also renowned as being one of, if not the Best Heavyweights in the Country.

Mark 'The Beast' Epstein is The Eltham Warriors first but not last World Heavyweight Champion. Mark won the Heavyweight Title after standing in late for his stable mate Andy 'The Spartan' Kipriano at the Kings Hall, Herne Bay, Kent back in March 2005. Mark is also a former Cage Fighting Champion and popular at the Cage Rage events in London. He is also renowned for his heart and determination in such a tough sport. Mark relishes in the fact that he is an Eltham Warrior. Mark has been asked to fight in Canada, in a K1 Tournament.

The Warriors gym have also produced some great up and coming fighters that are still training hard on a regular basis.

Comments:
The Eltham Warriors gym has been described as a traditional spit and sawdust gym. Despite being a down to earth gym with no polished floors and shiny walls, the Eltham warriors have built a reputation of good attitude and hard work.
